Chicago's Most Wanted Andrzej Rybka


A drunk driving accident in Chicago turns a Hickory Hills man into an international fugitive.

Andrzej Rybka was just 21 years old when Cook County prosecutors charged him with killing two people on the city's southwest side nearly seven years ago. Chicago police say Rybka crashed his car into a pole, splitting it in half and killing two 18-year-old passengers. . Witnesses told investigators Rybka was intoxicated and had been driving recklessly just before the October 10, 2004, crash occurred. It happened in the 6000 block of south Archer Avenue. Rybka survived the crash, but investigators say he immediately fled the scene

According to travel federal records, Rybka left the U.S. two days after the accident and returned to his native Poland. Police later received information that Rybka was spotted in his hometown of Poronin, in southern Poland. In November 2004, Cook County prosecutors charged Rybka with two counts of reckless homicide. Since several years have passed, investigators believe there is a good chance Rybka may have returned to the Chicago area. His last known address is in in Hickory Hills.
