Chicago's Most Wanted ESPN Bandit

It should take you only a second to figure out why F-B-I agents nicknamed this bank robber the ESPN bandit. Just look at the hat investigators say he's worn in two robberies. All together, they believe he's responsible for four bank robberies in the Chicago area. The first one happened in Melrose Park back on December 10th. Two other roberries and one attempted bank robbery all occurred on January 13th.

Agents say the ESPN bandit got away with just 500-dollars when robbed an Elmwood Park bank first on January 13th. Agents say the guy wanted more money, so he tried to rob a Northlake bank just 90 minutes later. He left there empty-handed because he thought the bank teller was ignoring his demands when she walked away from the counter. The FBI's Ross Rice says, "In reality, she was walking over to the drive up window, which she was also working and was going to remove money from that drawer. He didnt realize that and thought she was just leaving. So he turned, took his note and left."

Thirty minutes later, agents say he hit again, at a bank on Chicago's west side. He left THAT bank with a stash of cash, and left investigators with a good look at his face.
Rice adds, "If you know this person and you see these photos, you're probably going to recogize him."

FBI agents believe the ESPN Bandit is responible for robbing these banks:

TCF Bank, 800 W North Avenue, Melrose Park
Charter One Bank, 7312 W Grand Avenue, Elmwood Park
U.S. Bank, 26 W North Avenue, Northlake
National City Bank, 2100 W Chicago Avenue, in Chicago

Investigators described the bandit as a white male, arouund 50 years old, about five feet nine inches tall, with grey hair and wears an ESPN baseball cap.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call police.
