Defense lawyers for a man charged with murder in a killing outside a Dunwoody preschool asked a judge to dismiss several pieces of evidence in the case.
During the pretrial hearing Monday in DeKalb County Superior Court, Hemy Neuman's defense lawyers questioned law enforcement officers, focusing on the initial interrogation of Neuman by investigators and on apparent inconsistencies in warrants.
One witness remains to be questioned later this month. Then a judge will decide on the admissibility of the challenged information.
Russell Sneiderman was shot shortly after dropping off his 2-year-old son at the daycare in November 2010. Neuman has pleaded not guilty of murder. His trial is set for Oct. 17.
A judge last week rejected attempts from defense attorneys to dismiss charges at another pretrial hearing.
