A transgendered American widely known for becoming the world's first 'pregnant man' is celebrating the arrival of his third child, RadarOnline reported Monday.
Thomas Beatie was born a female but underwent a sexual reassignment procedure in order to become a man.
He became pregnant by artificial insemination and gained worldwide attention in 2007 after the first pictures of his swollen stomach went public.
Beatie and his wife Nancy welcomed their first child, Susan, in July 2008. Beatie then gave birth to a boy, Austin, in June 2009.
The newest addition to the family arrived Sunday night. The baby boy has light brown hair, blue eyes and is “big and healthy,” a source told the entertainment website.
Beatie gave birth naturally to all three children at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Ore.
