Reverend Jesse Jackson Honors Bishop H.H. Brookins - Los Angeles Local News, Weather, and Traffic

Funeral service will be held tomorrow for Bishop H.H. Brookins of the first AME Church.

Bishop Brookins was 86 years old…he died after a long illness.

He marched with Doctor Martin Luther King during the civil-rights movement of the 1950's and 60's.

He was a friend and mentor to many prominent African Americans...including former Los Angeles mayor Tom Bradley...
