The funeral for a 1-year-old Detroit girl who was found dead inside a closet at her grandmother's is underway as a police investigation continues.
The service for Ziya Turner began at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Resurrection Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit.
Authorities say she was found dead June 30 by a police cadaver dog underneath clothes and other items. Ziya's father Emmanuel Turner has said his brother was watching several children the day before and reported her missing.
