Pursuit Crash In Inglewood Leaves Two People Injured

Posted: Updated:

(CNS) A suspect driving a stolen Jaguar hit and injured two people before being arrested today after a brief police pursuit, police said.

The one-minute pursuit began about 7:20 a.m. at Compton Avenue and Imperial Highway within the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles Police Department's Southeast Division, according to Officer Sara Faden of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Department.

The suspect struck a total of two cars, causing one vehicle to overturn, before being arrested by police, media relations Officer Norma Eisenman said. The person in the overturned vehicle was described as a male in his 30s who was "conscious and breathing and had a laceration to the head,'' Faden said.

The second vehicle was hit from behind and the driver had possible neck
and back injuries, Faden said.

Both people were taken to area hospitals after firefighters responded to the scene at West 111th Place and South Crenshaw Boulevard, Inspector Brian Riley of the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
