Muckerlab, a company that invests in and nurtures web-based upstarts, is helping the economy of 'Silicon Beach,' the nickname of L.A.'s thriving tech scene.
Muckerlab's co-founder Erik Rannala tells 'Saving the California Dream' series producer Heidi Cuda that his company is helping accelerate the debut of such companies as 'Surfair,' 'Instacanvas' and 'Lifecrowd.'
Rannala, a former exec from eBay and TripAdvisor, says despite the downturn in the macro economy, the tech sector is thriving and Los Angeles' scene is a close third behind New York and Silicon Valley in Northern California.
