FOX Parent Company, News Corporation -Donates To Film/TV Charity - Los Angeles Local News, Weather, and Traffic

On this Emmy nominations day…news of a major donation to the entertainment industry's home town charity: The Motion Picture And Television Fund.

Our parent company, News Corporation, gave 20-million dollars to the charity's capital campaign.

That includes the organization's famous "Wasserman Campus" in Woodland Hills, better known as the "Motion Picture Home"…which provides health care to show business retirees.

News Corp Chairman Rupert Murdoch says he hopes the donation "will spur others within the entertainment community to get involved".
