Japanese Apple blog Macotokara purportedly has new video of the iPhone 5 completely assembled from parts from various manufacturers. We also have photos which have sprung up on the web, showcasing what is purportedly the iPhone 5 as well. You know the phone must be close to release (relatively speaking, of course) with the slate of new rumors making their way around the internet from some very reputable sources.
The phone shows off a two-tone design that is close to what much of the speculation was as early as February of this year. What's pictured and captured on video is a larger, longer iPhone with what appears to be a larger screen than the iPhone 4S but not a striking difference overall.... well, except for that dock connector. We've talked about that before here at myfoxla.com and the latest pictures and videos appear to bear out the common rumor that the latest iPhone will indeed have a smaller dock connector.
In addition to all of the photos and video, we're seeing more sites reporting that sources are telling them we'll see a September 21st release date for the iPhone 5 and more on the iPad mini. According to some sources, the mini will also be announced sometime this year, but probably not at the same event as the iPHone 5. Maybe a couple months afterward and at its own event. As always, stay with us for more coverage and for our review of the actual product once it's released!
