Every Thursday morning between 9am and 10am on Good Day LA, FOX 11's food and fun expert Mar Yvette searches the Los Angeles area for some of the best places to eat, drink, shop and have a great time. The guests then swarm our FOX Television Center parking lot, creating a big party as one jam-packed segment known as The Weekend Roundup!

27th Annual Children's Festival of the Arts
The Hollywood Arts Council will pull out all the stops this year at their 27th Annual Children's Festival of the Arts as they celebrate and honor Paramount Pictures' 100th Birthday. The FREE One-Day Only Festival will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 12-Noon – 4:30 p.m. at Paramount Pictures (5555 Melrose Avenue) in the shaded garden setting adjacent to their historic gated entrance. The festival feature live performances of dance and music from around the world including Plaza de la Raza Folklorico, celebrities, family art workshops, face painting and puppet making. Plaza de la Raza Folklorico were the performers this morning, and they are a community-based, not-for-profit cultural center for the arts and education featuring the future stars of salsa, mariachi, Latin jazz and folklorico dance.
Fluff Ice Truck
These guys infuse the flavor into the block before they shave it, so it creates a strong taste with a light texture. It's creamy AND non dairy! It's fluffy, it's creamy, it's icy. Based out of a brick-and-mortar shop in Monterey Park, the Fluff Ice Truck is now on the road serving its menu of Asian and non-Asian flavors from mango and peach to green tea and blue honey boba. The Fluff Ice Truck will be at Chinatown Summer Nights, a part food event, part summer party which is a free event in Downtown LA on Saturday, August 11 and Saturday, August 25. The event features an all-night lineup of bands, DJs from KCRW, a punk rock pillow fight and food trucks (including the Fluff Ice Truck)
Napa Valley Grille
Besides the fresh grilled peach tart for National Peach Month in August, Chef Taylor Boudreax and Leo Lopez have a selection of grilled fish dishes on the menu. This season the Simply Grilled menu focuses on fish and seafood items as a healthy summer alternative to traditional meat and steaks – Blackened Ahi Tuna with Yuzu Vinaigrette, Loup de Mer and Ponzu, Scottish Salmon and Ginger-Port Sauce.

Tito Puente, Jr. - Son of "The King of Latin Music," the most beloved symbol of Latin jazz is performing live at Morgan Park in Baldwin Park for their free summer concerts backed by Johnny Polanco and his salsa band. Summer Concert at Morgan Park in Baldwin Park with Tasty Thursday, a food truck vendor event. The concert is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 4100 Baldwin Park Blvd.
