Get ready to shake, rattle and roll at the 13th Annual Elvis Festival taking place on Sunday, August 26 at the Orange County Market Place in Costa Mesa.
This year's theme is the "Magic of Elvis" and coincides with the 35th anniversary of the King's death. The full day tribute to the King of Rock & Roll goes on from 9am-4 pm with tons of Elvis tribute artists, fun surprises (including a Mr. Potato Head Elvis) and special guests Darlene Tompkins (Elvis' 1961 co-star in "Blue Hawaii") and long-time friend of Elvis, Jimmy Velvet.
Spudrunners food truck will also be making Elvis' favorite Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana sandwiches.
Azteca Mexican Restaurant & Crooners Lounge hosted us. Owned by JJ Jaregui, the restaurant is like a living shrine to the King with more than 2500 pieces of Elvis memorabilia. The walls, ceilings and display cases feature one-of-a-kind items like autographed original movie posters, the world's largest Elvis watch collection and so much more. It's been around since 1953. Who knew?
