FOX 11's food and fun expert Mar Yvette searches the Los Angeles area for some of the best places to eat, drink, shop and have a great time. Featured guests then swarm our FOX Television Center parking lot every Thursday morning between 9am and 10am on Good Day LA, creating a big party as one jam-packed segment known as the Weekend Roundup!
Here's more information about the guests we featured:
Fried Chicken Festival
The festival was created by Joshua Lurie of Food GPS and marketer Helen Springut. The two brought together nine of LA's top chefs to prepare their versions of the old-fashioned down-home comfort food for the festival.
Participating chefs include: Josef Centeno of Baco Mercat and Bar Ama, David LeFevre of M.B. Post, Mary Sue Milliken of Border Grill, Matt Molina of Mozza, Bryant Ng of the Spice Table, Jazz Singsanong of Jitlada, Marcel Vigneron and Haru Kishi of the Coop and Ricardo Zarate of Picca and Mo-Chica.
The festival runs from 4 to 8 p.m. at "The Coop" (the Gonpachi space on La Cienega). Tickets are $55 per person. Each ticket gets you a piece of fried chicken and a side dish from each chef.
