Several airlines are preparing for Isaac as it makes its way though the Caribbean into the Gulf of Mexico early next week.
A spokesperson for Southwest Airlines and their subsidiary AirTran Airways tells FOX 5 News that they will be working with their customers to Florida and the Caribbean islands over the next week to ensure they are able to make a flight in out of their destination.
They say Southwest will be waiving fees to rebook flights in and out of Fort Myers and Tampa for flights on Monday and Tuesday. They say they will work with Airtran customers to Punta Cana, San Juan, and Key West as well.
A spokesperson for Delta Airlines says they have issued a charge-free waiver for customers to adjust their travel plans in light of the storm. Seven Florida cities and some Caribbean destinations are affected. Click here for a list of affected destinations and travel dates.
