Police arrest man after cardboard spat at ‘Romneyville' - Los Angeles Local News, Weather, and Traffic

Police say a 24-year-old man was arrested for assault after an altercation at the so-called "Romneyville," the lot behind the Army Navy Story in Tampa where protestors have pitched tents during the Republican National Convention.

Police said Dante M. Sea admitting to hitting 60-year-old Eddie C. Thomas after Thomas allegedly confronted him because Sea had stolen a piece of cardboard.

Thomas was checked out at Tampa General Hospital, and police arrested Sea later that afternoon. He is charged with battery and possession of marijuana.
