This summer, the Miramar Beach Club will host a series of Vilebrequin Beach Volleyball Games right off the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica.
Every Saturday night from June 2 through September 1, pack your beach blanket to watch six player teams battle it out in the sand, or sign up your team to win a free Vilebrequin swimsuit! Before Adam Fleischman fell in love with umami, he had a long affair with wine. With the increased exposure to wine, Fleischman's palate matured, spurring his eventual fascination with the fifth taste. Fleischman developed a restaurant concept dedicated to the all-American classic, hamburgers. He opened his first Umami Burger on La Brea in 2009 and has since opened additional locations all around California. In addition, Fleischman helped to create 800 Degrees and Red Medicine. In 2012, Fleischman acquired an ownership stake in L.A. Creamery Artisan Ice Cream bringing his creative culinary talents to frozen treats, creating Porc Phat, Absinthe, Mezcal and Moonshine Ice Creams.

'The Truth' Back in the 90's When Jara started Slapbak, everyone thought the name meant the slappin' of Jara's thumb up against his bass strings. Some even thought that it meant slappin' back against society because he never drank, smoked or tried drugs in his life. Well years later we discovered that Slapbak means none of the above, a matter of fact Slapbak isn't even a noun. It's a verb.... its an untouched force of action. This band hates hype, just like their song says "Dont Talk About It, Be About It" which means they are all about the delivery. This is the reason Slapbak hates bios or introductions before they hit the stage. The show and the music speaks for it's self. They have a undeniable sound that Jara has fine tuned over the years the he calls "Urban Crunch."
