(AP) Authorities say a woman and two children have been stabbed to death in a Riverside home and a suspect has been shot and wounded by police in a freeway confrontation.
Police were called to a home on Granger Court at about 7 a.m. Thursday and found a woman, a 4-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl wounded. They were pronounced dead at a hospital.
About 15 minutes later, police in nearby Corona confronted a man at an interchange of Highway 91 and Interstate 15. The man was shot and taken to a hospital but there's no word on his condition.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says the man may be an estranged boyfriend or ex-husband of the victim.
