For four years until December 2010, Mar was the senior editor of Citysearch, covering the latest news and trends in dining, nightlife, shopping and entertainment.. Before that, she was the associate editor of Clear Magazine, an award-winning luxury fashion and design magazine, as well as a copywriter for clients including GQ, Rolling Stone, Time, Bon Appetit, Allure and The Financial Times.
