(CNS) A pedestrian was killed today in a hit-and-run traffic accident in Hollywood, police said.

The accident was reported shortly after 5 a.m. at Western Avenue and Romaine Street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Authorities were searching for the suspect responsible for the death.
