It's Emmy season in TV-ville, but this week we have our eye on a different prize …
A permanent family and home for Jeric (1995) to call his own. For an afternoon, Jeric joined the ranks of Hollywood elite nominated for an Emmy at a Pre-Emmy gifting suite and style lounge hosted by Hollywood Publicist, Doris Bergman.
While he wasn't an Emmy nominee, Jeric captured the attention of many in attendance with his mild-mannered style. And he didn't walk away empty handed … Jeric was "gifted" by the vendors at the event (below) and was even measured for a custom-tailored suit and shirt. The "icing on the cake" for Jeric was spotting and having his picture taken with actress Lisa Raye McCoy (right).
Jeric is an easy-going and sweet teenager who is looking for a family with whom he can form a connection and that can provide him stability and permanence. While it's known that Jeric likes to skateboard and play basketball, in any initial "making a connection" phase there will be many more interesting things to learn about Jeric as he is game for trying new activities and experiences.
And when he's not hard-at-work playing, he takes pride in his appearance and grooming and enjoys going to the barbershop to get different and unique hair designs. Jeric can also shop with the best of them and admits he has a fondness for shoes – which shows in how he takes good care of the pairs that he has. As for school, Jeric claims that the work is "not hard, just a little boring" so he needs a bit of a challenge.
Just as it requires measurement-taking and fittings to end up with a custom-tailored suit that fits just right, it can take similar steps for an existing family and a youth to determine that they are a good match and can adjust to become a fitting family.
