Waiting for anything can be agonizing, right? In Buckhead, about a dozen people prepared to wait in line through the night for the iPhone 5 that goes on sale at 7 a.m. on Friday.
While the wait may be on, it won't necessarily be agonizing. The guys came in a Mercedes Benz conversion van with multiple flat screen televisions and Wi-Fi. They planned to kill time watching NFL football.
"I figure with this we can come in and sleep in some heated and massaging seats for a little while and do that in shifts and come seven o'clock, go get our new phones," said Joe White.
An espresso machine helps keep the guys awake during their wait.
Last week, Apple announced the launch of the iPhone 5. It's the latest version of the popular device. New features include a bigger screen, LTE network connection for faster downloads and an 8-megapixel camera.
Despite the fact that the guys have iPhone 4S phones that aren't even a year old, they are willing out the night in folding chairs. Well, folding chairs, internet service, satellite television and strong Italian coffee and steaks. This is what passes for roughing it in Buckhead.
