La Feria de los Moles
Holy mole! Regarded as the largest Mexican food festival in the USA, the annual Feria de los Moles celebrates the rich flavor, folklore and culture of Mexico. This year it's Puebla vs. Oaxaca with some 30,000 people expected to attend and taste more than 13 different Mexican moles ranging from sweet savory to hot spicy. The delicious fun goes on from 10am-7pm on Sunday, October 7 at Olvera Street in Downtown LA.
Amanda Castro Band
Fusing classic jazz standards with her Afro-Cuban roots, Amanda Castro is an emerging jazz singer who brings to life the songs of the 1920s and 1930s. Adding her own unique mix of Latin rhythms, New Orleans soul and old school blues, this young talent plays all around Los Angeles. You can catch her next show at The Edison in Downtown LA on Thursday, October 4 at 8:30pm.
