Law enforcement seized more than $140,000 of synthetic marijuana from a home in Barnesville on Wednesday,
Officers and deputies recovered 9 pounds of synthetic marijuana, which is also known as Spice.
Major Brad White of the Lamar County Sheriff's Office says an undercover informant led investigators to the home where they confiscated the fake pot and arrested Marcos Antonio Richardson.
Commander Allen McWhorter heads up the drug task force that organized the bust with local police. He said investigators are checking area stores to try to track down the fake pots' origin. He believes this is the state's largest bust of synthetic marijuana since Georgia banned all forms of it earlier this year.
"We're going to see more of this and the reason why I say that is because it's on a big demand for it through teenagers and they had to do something with it when they took it off the shelves," said McWhorter.
Investigators said it appears the fake pot was sold out of the home, but they say it wasn't manufactured there.
Richardson is charged with violation of the Georgia controlled substance act and distribution. More charge could be pending, official said.
