
A 21-year old man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident in which a 13-year-old boy died in Upland.
Kyle Bahensky, a resident of Ontario, was booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run after the accident occurred around 11pm last night near the intersection of Arrow Highway and Campus Avenue.
Bahensky's pickup truck was travelling south on Campus Avenue when it struck a car driven by a woman and her son. The collision sent the car into the carport of a nearby vacant house, where a car fire erupted. Bahensky's truck reportedly struck a light pole.
The mother was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
Bahensky allegedly ran off and was captured by police a few hours later..
