Groundbreaking Bionic Arm Surgery To Be Performed - Los Angeles Local News, Weather, and Traffic

California Hospital Medical Center surgeon Gary Chen will begin the process of attaching a bionic hand and arm for a woman who lost her arm in a bus crash 18 months ago that killed four people.

The operation on Rosario Velasco will be the first of its kind in California, with the prosthetic eventually reconnecting nerves that have been useless since the accident.
