1/2 cup butter
1-1/3 cups brown sugar
2-1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup lightly packed grated raw apple, peeled
1 cup chopped pecans
- Cream together butter, brown sugar and egg.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together. Add to butter mixture and mix.
- Blend in apple and pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet or parchment and bake 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly brown. Frost with brown sugar icing below.

2 tablespoons milk
Melt butter and add sugar. Whisk until sugar is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and beat well. If needed, add scant amounts of milk for spreading consistency.
