A plane was forced to make an emergency landing less than a mile away from the Pickens County Airport on Sunday evening.
A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration tells FOX 5 News that the Cessna 210 lost control and was forced to make an emergency landing on Old Philadelphia Road near the Walmart in Jasper.
Authorities say the two aboard were not seriously hurt. The plane sustained minor damage after it hit a fire hydrant.
