Deputies say a mother was shot and killed by an acquaintance of her 25-year-old daughter's at their home near Chandler Heights and Gantzel Road on Sunday.
The 50-year-old woman's 25-year-old and 12-year-old daughters were out for a walk when their mother called her oldest daughter and told her one of her acquaintances was threatening her with a gun at their home, deputies say.
The 25-year-old called 911 and told them a man she knew was threatening her mom with a gun.
When deputies arrived, the mother had already been shot in the face and chest, and the suspect was gone.
The woman was taken to a hospital and died from multiple gun shot wounds on Sunday night.
After arriving at the home, authorities say the 25-year-old daughter began hyperventilating and was also taken to a hospital. When she is medically cleared, deputies will interview her about her connection to the suspect.
Deputies are still looking for the suspect, only described as a black male.
The victim's name has not been released.
