Multi-vehicle crash in The Bronx

At least one person was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on East 233rd Street in the Woodlawn section of The Bronx.

Two vehicles were mangled in the wreck near Jerome Ave.

The road was closed Monday morning for a police investigation.

A child's car seat was thrown from one of the vehicles.  There were no reports of a child injured in the crash.

    New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has postponed his much-discussed family vacation to Italy by a day. Mayoral press secretary Phil Walzak said de Blasio moved the nine-day trip's departure date from Friday to Saturday "to attend to city business." The mayor's announcement came shortly after he addressed the Thursday death of a Staten Island man in police custody.
