1 person dead after car falls at parking garage

Authorities say one person was killed when a car fell off a lift at a Lower Manhattan parking garage.

The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Monday at the garage on Barclay Street.

The victim, a garage worker, was pinned when the vehicle fell about six feet.

Police tape blocked the garage while the investigation continued.
