Tech Ninja On Cyber Monday: How To Find The Best Deals

Posted: Updated:

Many people think that if they missed the amazing doorbusters on Black Friday that the opportunity to get in the discounted awesomeness may have passed them by, but I'm here to tell you that your second chance is at hand and its called "Cyber Monday." There are definitely deals to be had and we'll continue to see many of them throughout this holiday season. Read on to catch some of my picks as well as the best places to find those deals.

Where To Find The Best Deals

Check out Amazon.com's Lightning Deals. They start at a certain time so you'll have to visit the Lightning Deals web page at Amazon to stay up on when to hit their site for your chance at a great steal. If you don't already, makes sure you have an account set up with them beforehand so you can hit while the iron's hot as these deals may go fast!

If your big game hunting includes big HDTV's this holiday season, great buys abound! BestBuy.com has a Samsung - 65" Class (64-1/2" Diag.) LED HDTV that features a 1080p, 120Hz display. This is a Smart TV which is on sale for $1499.00 that retails normally for $2399.99. If it's a plasma you're after, Amazon has another Samsung you may like. It's a 51-Inch 1080p 600Hz 3D Ultra Slim Plasma on sale for $997.99 which regularly retails for $1649.99.

Clothing deals are some of the best Cyber Monday "gets" of the day. Shopping online at Old Navy and The Gap will get you 30% off your entire order but if you hit sites like Land's End you'll get the same plus free shipping on orders over $50. You definitely want to prioritize those sites which include free shipping over those that don't as shipping costs in some cases will minimize your Cyber Monday savings. One of my favorite deals of the day is at Macy's where you'll find this  Kenneth Cole Reaction Jacket, Leather Bomber Jacket which is regularly $399.50 but on sale today for $149.99.

While many sites are having one or two day sales for Cyber Monday, Target.com is celebrating Cyber Monday all week long! They have deals like this great entry level DSLR from Nikon. The D3100 14.2MP Digital SLR is on sale for $479.99 and was originally $650.00.

Best Online Resources

Follow Twitter feeds! Many brands will tweet out deals to their followers, some of which you have to have lightning-like reflexes to take advantage of, but if you're quick on the keyboard they can be deal-tastic! For instance, Dell tweeted out from their @dellHomeUS  account that you can "Save up to 50% on our #CyberMonday deals. New #doorbusters every 3 hours starting at midnight EST! http://bit.ly/UmzQ8m"

Another great way to get the deals is to "Like" your favorite brands on Facebook. Just like they do on their Twitter feeds, many brands will make Facebook posts announcing new deals. You can also follow my own Twitter feed as I'll be retweeting great deals I see through my own Twitter stream as I see them throughout the day.
