The beloved 25-year-old crucifix at St. Leo's Church in Corona, Queens, was vandalized at night on or after Thanksgiving.

Father William Hoppe believes Jesus' arm and fingers were ripped off.

A church volunteer discovered the defaced crucifix around 7:30 on Friday morning. The volunteers said he found this arm sticking out of this flower bed.

The church community is devastated.

The surveillance cameras across the street are not facing the crucifix, so no one was caught on video.

Father Hoppe said he is not angry at whoever who did this. He said he just hopes they get help. He said several parishioners have offered to help pay for the crucifix. It should be taken care of soon.
