Wednesday night's $500 million Powerball drawing is the highest ever for the game, and tickets are selling at an incredible pace. That has plenty of employees joining office pools in hopes of increasing their chances of winning. But is that really such a great idea?
At many metro Atlanta area businesses, like the Hair Is it #2 Barber Shop in Stone Mountain, employees are pooling their cash and pools to increase their chances of winning big. The eight barbers who work there say they trust each other, and they don't need a legal contract to protect themselves if they should win.
But several attorneys who spoke to FOX 5's Aungelique Proctor say differently. They say no matter what the circumstances are, you should create a contract that identifies all of the players involved and the numbers that are being played. Lawyers say when a group wins, there is often confusion about who was in, who was out, and who played what.
