A collision involving several vehicles and a diesel truck led to the closure of I-17 northbound at 7th Street on Wednesday afternoon.
The transition from eastbound I-10 to I-17 north was shut down for several hours. That's near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
The truck involved in the crash was leaking diesel fuel, and crews had to clean it up before traffic could move across all lanes.
The circumstances of the crash, which happened about 1:30, are not known. We don't know how many people were injured or the extent of their injuries.
The freeway was reopened by 4 p.m. DPS is investigating.
