MESA, Ariz. -

A suspect is accused of shooting a 30-year-old man at a home near Broadway and Crismon Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies say 20-year-old Lucas Orf shot Bryan Berg in the leg after they got into an argument.

According to detectives, there was drug activity at the house but they don't know if the fight was over drugs.

At that time, five to six suspects took off and deputies found five of them in the area.

Deputies and SWAT officers believed someone was holed up in the home, and when they finally made entry, found there was no one inside.

A school was put on lockdown during the barricade situation as a precaution.

Orf was arrested on several outstanding warrants and was booked into a jail on Thursday night. Orf was on probation and was prohibited from handling a firearm and will likely face additional charges for allegedly shooting Berg.

Detectives are continuing to investigate.
