Well that didn't take long. Lawmakers have been out of town for quite awhile but the anti-Detroit rhetoric is heating up now that they are back.

DETROIT (WJBK) -
Republican Senator Jack Brandenburg told Fox 2's Tim Skubick that the "The city council of Detroit is dysfunctional and blatantly stupid." Brandenburg refers to the legislative body as 'obstructionists.' What is that all about?
Thursday night on Fox 2's Let it Rip, Huel Perkins and his panel of guests will discuss these controversial remarks.
"I think it's just disgraceful. I think it's to the point of just outright delusional," said Democratic Senator Coleman Young II. He joins Perkins on the panel on Thursday.
The rhetoric is heating up and Republicans have been watching the unfolding drama in Detroit between the city council and Mayor Dave Bing and the apparent lack of progress on the consent agreement hammered out last April.
Also joining the panel, State Rep. Fred Durhal (D-Detroit), who is making a bid to become Mayor.
Republican Analyst Rocky Razkowski also joins the fray.
Other topics being discussed: Mayor Bing says his job is the second toughest in the country behind President Barack Obama.
Should women be allowed to fight on the front lines in a combat zone?
Elaine Donnelly from the Center for Military Readiness and Razkowski tackle this issue with Perkins. Fox 2's Charlie Langton takes the issue on the road.
