Dozens of Atlanta families who have lost a loved one in the military since September 11 are on their way to Texas for an all-expenses paid trip, thanks to American Airlines. It's all part of an annual event known as Snowball Express.
In all, about 60 children and adults at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport were part of Friday's big sendoff party, and the smiles on the faces of kids there were priceless. They met Santa, and enjoyed arts, crafts, food and even face painting.
The event involves a total of about 1,700 children and spouses of fallen U.S. military members each year. This is the seventh year the event has been held. During the four-day trip to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the families will take part in the Dallas Children's Parade, visit the Fort Worth Stockyards and Billy Bob's, and pay a visit to Six Flags.
