Phoenix Police continue to search for a missing 11-year-old girl who was taken from Phoenix Children's Hospital by her mother. Police believe her life is in danger.

The girl's parents may have done this before at another hospital -- removed her without checking out in another state. But this time is different, because doctors say Emily could die if her chest catheter is not taken out medically.

Police have released a close-up photo and a video of Emily walking out of the hospital. They're really hoping someone will recognize her. Plus, we're hearing the 911 call made from the hospital.

911 caller: "We have a patient that has gone missing."

Dispatcher: "OK?"

Doctors amputated her right arm because of an infection. Emily has leukemia and Phoenix Police are desperate to find her.

"We're running out of time," says Sgt. Steve Martos.

This little girl could die in days if she's not taken back to the hospital to get the catheter properly taken out of her heart.

Emily was admitted to Phoenix Children's Hospital back in October. One day before her release, Emily's mom changed her clothes and snuck her out of hospital at 10:30 at night.

911 caller: "They were walking around. They were by the cafeteria. They were by the front entrance and walked into the bathroom, disconnected her from her IV and just walked out the front door and got into the car... she wasn't wearing a wig when she went into the bathroom though and she was wearing a wig when she came out."

Video shows them getting into a black minivan.

Police say Emily's mom removed her IV, but not the catheter, and that could cause a serious infection.

"They're putting this young little girl in danger," says Martos. "She could within days potentially die."

Police say the family has ties to California and could be on their way there. Investigators aren't exactly sure where they live. They're working with family members in the San Jose area. All of them are trying to find Emily.

The family was last seen driving a 1998 black Ford minivan, Arizona license plate AVY-3157.

Investigators don't know why Emily's mom Norma and her dad Luis snuck her out of the hospital. It could be because of financial reasons, but police won't be sure until they find Emily.

Right now investigators say their priority is to make sure Emily is safe and goes back to a doctor to get her catheter taken out.

Police say some of Emily's extended family live in Dewey, Ariz. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police.
