ATLANTA -

An Atlanta home has been given an extreme holiday makeover, complete with dozens of inflatable decorations in the yard. The family's Christmas display has drawn crowds and is the delight of children in the neighborhood and it's all for a good cause.

The entire yard at the home off of Peachtree Dunwoody Road is filled with inflatable holiday icons – everyone from Santa to Mickey Mouse, even the Grinch!

"I thought it was amazing. I thought it was so much fun that somebody would go through so much trouble to have all this stuff out – obviously, for other people's enjoyment," said Meghann Cantey, a mother who enjoyed the display on Monday.

Lots of moms were urged by their little ones to stop and experience the outdoor holiday display.

The homeowner, Dr. Gary Gropper, also uses the display as a fundraiser for a metro Atlanta shelter.

Last year, Gropper put a table out in front of his house on Christmas Eve with pamphlets and a donation box for the Genesis Shelter.

Executive Director Nancy Friauf says the decorations raised about $4,000 for homeless newborns and their families.

The holiday display that brings joy to so many children in the Brookhaven neighborhood helps bring stability to the lives of babies who have no place to call home.

"And what a fun way to raise money for homeless babies and their families by putting up beautiful Christmas decorations that kids and the neighbors can enjoy," Friauf said.

Gropper sits on the advisory council for the Genesis Shelter.
