Ga. man taking sons to see Santa dies in car crash
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - A northern Georgia man died in a car accident while he and his wife were taking their sons to visit Santa Claus at a local mall.
The Athens Banner-Herald (http://bit.ly/SK0TIE ) reports 37-year-old Christopher Tyler Evans and his wife were on their way to the Georgia Square Mall Monday when the accident happened.
The newspaper reports Monday was also the couple's wedding anniversary.
Officials say the car Evans was riding in turned in the path on an oncoming vehicle. Authorities are investigating the accident, but do not expect to file charges against the other driver.
Evans' wife and their two sons were treated and released from the Athens Regional Medical Center.
The boys, both under the age of 7, have birthdays on Dec. 21 and 23.
