A 38-year-old northwest suburban man has been charged with the fatal shooting of a west suburban man in the Northwest Side Jefferson Park neighborhood last summer.
Pablo Hernandez, 41, of the 3500 block of South 60th Street in Cicero, was shot in the abdomen in the 4200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue at 1:46 a.m. on July 21. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he died two hours later.
On Thursday morning, David Marshall, 38, of the 500 block of West Touhy Avenue in Des Plaines was charged with one count of first-degree murder, according to police.
Police did not have information on a motive, but said the two men were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. Marshall does have gang affiliations, a police source said.
