Roxanne... it's said that to know her is to love her. Born in 1995, Roxanne enjoys outdoor activities such as bouncing a ball and blowing bubbles. When she's had enough of outdoor fun, Roxanne retreats indoors and sits with a book or a magazine. Her favorite book is her "life book", a picture book of sorts that she has helped create and includes photos of events in her life.
Roxanne is diagnosed with cerebral palsy and cognitive delays. Although she is non-verbal, she communicates her needs through gestures and her affection by holding your hand. It might take a little while for her to get comfortable with someone new but once she lets a person in, she'll latch on and want to share her story with you in her own personal way – through her work-in-progress life book!
Roxanne is receiving special education services under the category of learning disabled and loves going to school. She is a Regional Center client which includes a variety of services which will follow her into any prospective adoptive home. Roxanne needs a family that will assist her in reaching her full potential and become the primary cast of characters in the unfolding future chapters of the life book she treasures so much.
