BJ Penn on MMA Drug Testing: "It's an IQ test not a drug
test." The former two-division champion said the use of
performance-enhancing drugs is widespread.
"If you say you're going to be drug tested in two months,
you just have to be smart enough to get it out of your system," Penn said.
Considered one of the most dominant lightweight champions of
all time, Penn explained his reluctance to drop back down to 155. Saying,
"Something is telling me inside, ‘You got to do this, you got to fight at
170.'"
Penn promised to be in great shape for his pending bout
against Rory MacDonald and explained how his desire to cement his legacy as one
of the greatest fighters ever motivated him back to the cage after a brief
retirement.
