A female pedestrian was killed and nine others were injured after a vehicle jumped a curb and plowed onto the sidewalk in Brooklyn Saturday afternoon.

Police say an Acura MDX was traveling North bound on West 5 Street in the Bensonhurst section and a Jeep Cherokee that was traveling east bound on Quentin Road, collided at the intersection around 2:25 p.m. The force of the crash caused the Acura to jump the curb and plow into four pedestrians who were standing at the corner.

EMS arrived and took the four victims to Lutheran Medical Center, where one of the victims,  60-year-old Chenugor Dao of Brooklyn, was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The other pedestrians injured were a 60-year-old man; a 32-year-old woman and a one-year-old girl who were all listed in stable condition.

Authorities said two of the passengers of the Acura MDX were taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition. The third passenger, a 21-year-old woman, is listed in critical but stable condition at Kings County Hospital.

The driver of the Jeep Cherokee, a 41-year-old man, was also taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. The 60-year-old female driver of the Acura MDX did not need medical attention.

Police say there is no criminality suspected at this time and their investigation is ongoing.
