Hundreds of pets who were separated from their families during Hurricane Sandy were reunited with their owners and received a free Blessing of the Animals Sunday.

The 4th annual ASPCA event took place at Christ Church at 520 Park Avenue. The owners and their pets received a blessing by Senior Minister Stephen Bauman and Senior Rabbi Peter Rubinstein.

The animals that were able to be blessed ranged horses, fish, dogs, llamas, sheep and other barnyard animals, reptiles, cats, birds from parakeets to exotic varieties.

Treats were available for pets and the ASPCA accepted donations of new toys for animals which will be donated to New York City Animal Care and Control.
