Olympic Gold medalist Keshia Baker visits Coeur d'Alene Elementary to inspire children to be their best and to promote health and exercise. Her presence will also draw attention to fundraising efforts for a new track and field.
Coeur D'Alene is currently 8th out of thousands of schools in a nationwide competition to win funding from The Clorox Company's Power A Bright Future grant program. Grants will be given based upon votes submitted online and by text - and anyone is eligible to vote for a school, so getting the word out among LA residents will greatly enhance the chances for a local school to win!
If selected, Coeur D'Alene will be able to replace a track and field that is the center of campus life and yet so desperately needs updating.
Bob DeCastro is at the Venice campus.
