Politicians are asking the question: Is it time to pull the plug on California's high-speed rail?
The fallout from Thursday's House Transportation Committee hearing may have the rail program against the ropes. A desperate Transportation Secretary Ray La Hood tried to convince panelists to drop a ban barring federal dollars going to California's bullet train.
But as he pleas for more money, California Congressman Kevin McCarthy says it may be time to cut our losses.
