Albert Hopes To Skate His Way Into A Forever Home

This week's Wednesday's Child is a bright and engaging young man with some athletic aptitude. As much as Albert (1996) has already experienced some of life's ups and downs, he is usually open to try new things.

Albert likes sports and the outdoors – and  we like the seasonal opportunity (thanks to the Los Angeles Kings' Hockey Club) to enjoy the Ice Skating Rink at LA Live's Nokia Plaza – so together we hit the ice along with hockey vet and announcer Daryl Evans and Kings' mascot Bailey for some sporty skating fun!

Although he had never been on ice skates before, Albert took command of the ice pretty well.  His natural talent shone through, but guidance and instruction were welcomed. Albert learned not only how to skate but also how to maneuver a stop and even how to fall to avoid injury.  Such guidance and instruction can prove quite valuable!

Albert likes math as well as good conversation.  He has a knack for putting words and thoughts into song and shared that he is also writing a story about his life.  Albert has a real depth to him and he hopes to find a forever family that will give him the freedom and support to share the many facets of his life with them.  Albert says he doesn't believe that finding a forever family will happen overnight but hopes that someone will take the time to get to know him and be there to offer guidance as he makes the next loop around the rink of life.
