DETROIT (WJBK) -- Alton Hubbard is wanted for murder.  The 50-year-old Detroiter is accused of killing a young man on Gratiot near Brewery Park back on October 25.  Driving a Lincoln Navigator at 80 miles per hour, police say Hubbard was high on PCP when he literally ran over the Ford Taurus in front of him.

"He rear ended a Ford Taurus so hard that he actually ran the rear of the vehicle over killing a passenger," said Officer Scott Sheets with the DPD Fatal Squad.

He said the victim was a man in his early twenties from Oakland County out with a couple of friends on their way to a restaurant for dinner.

"They had gotten lost driving slowly on Gratiot about 30 miles an hour when the impact happened," Sheets said.

The suspect, Hubbard, crashed through a fence near Brewery Park.  He was hospitalized and has since taken off.

Police said Hubbard has been spotted in Highland Park, as well as on Belvidere Street in the city of Detroit.  Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police right away.

"He is currently wanted for second-degree murder," said Sheets.  "Everyone should know that he is dangerous and needs to be taken off the streets."

Hubbard has a long criminal history.  Please call the Detroit Police Fatal Squad at (313) 596-1462.
