CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

FOX 32 News had a special visit from a dog named Luther and his owner Tim Hetzen on Good Day Chicago Monday.

He's not just any golden retriever. Luther is a comfort dog, who participates in a program run by the Lutheran Church Charities.

He provided support to some of those children who were inside Sandy Hook Elementary School during the shooting. Lutheran Church Charities sent about 10 dogs to Newtown, Connecticut last week.

The group is based in west suburban Addison.
